I am taking a work sabbatical to experience and explore as many of the wonderful and fascinating aspects of life as I can. Following dreams. Being present and living fully. Discovering what second chances and new beginnings are all about. Living my bucket list. Infusing my life with passion, adventure, joy, and love. Creating is my life's blood, my most passionate pursuit. I don't believe creating is something we do simply with paint or pen or music. Instead, I believe everything we do in life, and the way we do it, is part of the creative process.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have a serious case of wanderlust and love to travel most anywhere. I believe 'home' is something you carry with you and create as you meet and connect with your world and convinced one of the most important parts of any travel experience is the way you interact with those you meet and the friendships you develop along the way. I'm here to meet fabulous, fascinating people from all over the world and find many more places to call, 'home'.

Interests

I absolutely love music and that includes a bit of everything from Abba and Avril to Zero 7 and Zucchero. I'm deeply passionate about writing, photography, laughter, fabulous conversations, warm weather, nature (especially the seashore), cooking, the healing arts, and having a great time! I believe life is beautiful and magical and that the connections we make with one another are the most beautiful, most magical parts of that life.

Music, Movies, and Books

Didn't I cover music already?? :) My favorite music is... whatever fits my mood! From rock to rhythm, soul to salsa, musicals to metal. I get into punk infused drum beats, screaming guitar, voices laced with passion, lush keyboards, acoustic guitars, a singer and his/her song. I like things with a latin flair, a British bent, and classic rock though I have a soft spot for 80's hair bands... My favorite movie is The Matrix... "there is no spoon"... I'm an avid reader but much like music, it's a true menagerie of work that I gravitate to. These things make great conversation, so let's talk!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm not sure if it qualifies as 'amazing', but one of the greatest adrenaline rushes I've ever had was skydiving!!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm an avid learner, always striving to learn new things. In doing so, the best thing about that is being able to teach/share that info or knowledge with someone else.

I do English tutoring, conversational tutoring style with young teens & adults has been my speciality. I know my way around the kitchen and love to help others in that regard. Currently, I am studying Italian and Spanish so any help in those regards is most appreciated. I love dancing, though I'm really terrible at it, and would love to be comfortable in a dance club setting. I'm a Reiki Master Practitioner and also glad to offer healing light to those who need it.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Quick dry wit (but sorry, I don't tell jokes!!) and laughter, good conversation, willingness to experience your world and your interests, and a healthy respect for the unique individual you are and for your home.
