I traveled to Aniak, Alaska, a native village of 500 people on a gorgeous day in September, and walked every bit of road, about 26 miles, in one day. The natural world was interesting and beautiful. My hosts and folks I met were wonderful. Stories were shared around an evening bonfire. I want to return via a paddling trip on the Kuskokwim River.
