ABOUT ME

Let's see - I am stoked on life. It's great. Not easy, by any stretch of the imagination, but that's half the fun. I'm in graduate school - i study meteorology and in my spare time play as much outside as I can. I took some time off before college - i worked in a medical research lab (University of Rochester, NY) then skied in Jackson Hole, WY (Teton National Forest) and I also took some time off before graduate school in which I went back to Jackson, skied, biked, climbed, taught math in Leadville, Colorado (highest elevation city in the continental US) then moved to Chicago to work for a non-profit and now i'm in Utah in graduate school. So, yeah - adventures are great. But it's no fun if I tell everything.

My biggest faults (if you want to call them that) are best described by Jack Kerouac and Richard Feynman (super famous physicist) respectively: "my fault, my failure, is not in the passions i have, but in my lack of control of them" and "Physics is like sex, it may yield practical results but that's not why we do it".

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm new! I'm going to Europe this summer and am planning on staying with some couch surfing friends of friends! And when i'm done with my exams, i'll be able to host couch surfers here in Salt Lake City. I'll also have my friend's European Cell phone to make traveling much easier!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Just have heard a lot about it from friends who have traveled extensively abroad!

Snow and everything and anything I can do in it! Climbing up rocks, biking on rocks and in the trees, and my studies (meteorology).

Skiing fast, making tele turns in powder, carving huge alpine turns down super steep wide open faces, skinning up mountains, bootpacking up couloirs, laughing at how rediculously awesome skiing feels. drinking on the snowbird tram deck after an epic day.

音乐、电影和书籍

Not a huge movie person, but that's probably because i never have any time - or don't make the time. I love reading, but don't do it enough. I love books from Jane Austen (yes i am a girl!), to Charles Dickens and other classic tales, to adventure stories and historical fiction. I generally stay away from mysteries (although I Sir Arthur Conan Doyle) And i love music, but haven't put in the time to know exactly the artists I like. I like classical music a ton, love music i can dance to (not really rap) and classic rock. idk, too much stuff out there! I haven't yet gotten into skiing to music, but I may start soon.

My trip to Europe! Climbing on 11th century ruins in Vienna, freeriding in Switzerland, climbing in Chamonix, psycoboching (deep water soloing) in Mallorca, and being in Iceland!!
