HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

One of the things we were looking for in our search for a long-term home was space to host family and friends. We are blessed to now have a space that we are turning into a guest room, and I would love to host new friends as well as old.

兴趣

Playing clarinet and flute. Teaching people anything from computer programming to flute playing. Cooking as many kinds of cuisines as I can find recipes for. Using as much of the yard as possible to grow food. Shopping in ethnic markets, farmers markets, co-ops and cheese shops. Commuting by bicycle as often as possible. Decorating our home. Listening to classical and instrumental music. Reading. Cooking for and hosting friends and family. DEFINITELY NOT washing dishes.

Music: A strange combination of classical, 80's-90's, classic rock, and Weird Al Yankovic.
Movies: I have exactly three favorites. UHF, Airplane!, Ocean's Eleven.
Books: The Cat Who book series is undoubtedly my all time favorite. I spent a lot of time reading Christian type books in my 20s and appreciate the writings of C. S. Lewis, Dallas Willard, Rob Bell and others. I like books that explain language, natural phenomena, and human behavior, and am expanding into writings about more diverse worldviews.

On the day my husband proposed to me, we saw both a "sun dog" (rainbow-like halo around the sun) and a hawk tearing apart and eating a duck on the way to the proposal site.
