ABOUT ME :
Typically the kind of guy looking familiar at first sight. I always get the questions "Did I see you before ?" or "You remind me of someone". I just live with it as a running gag, plus, looking familiar makes the surprise bigger once you discover who I actually am (disclaimer : no, I'm sadly not George Clooney).
I love meeting new faces, having chats in cafés, getting out, drinking, partying and sharing experiences. Most of all, I'm a huge fan of history, philosophy and politics, always ready to share anecdotes on numerous topics...

Tout à fait le genre de gars à l'allure banale, celui à qui on dira "Je t'ai pas déjà vu quelque part ?" ou "Tu me rappelles quelqu'un". Je vis avec, c'est même devenu un running gag, et puis paraître familier peut accentuer l'effet de surprise.
Je suis un grand adepte des rencontres et des discussions à n'en plus finir aux terrasses des cafés, et j'adore faire la fête et partager les expériences de vie. Plus que tout, je suis un grand amateur d'histoire, de philosophie et de politique, et j'ai toujours un millier d'anecdotes à raconter sur un million de sujets...

PHILOSOPHY :
Deist/Agnostic, I tend to believe that there might be something above everything, but I don't pretend that I can understand it, much less explain it, with my barely boosted monkey brain... And certainly not with a book.

Déiste/Agnostique, je ne peux pas complètement nier l'intuition qu'il y a quelque chose "au-dessus", mais je n'aurai pas la prétention d'essayer de la comprendre, et encore moins de l'expliquer, avec mon cerveau de singe à peine plus développé... et surtout pas avec un bouquin.

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

I discovered Couchsurfing in January 2009, and I immediatly enjoyed it.
My favorite time while hosting people was bringing them into the city of Montpellier I adore, so that I can start a seemingly neverending speech about every single road we would be walking on, then have a stop in a bar or a café and enjoy the sunshine. Never got a single complaint about it, so I guess I was doing it right.
Things have changes nowadays. I had to leave Montpellier after the end of my studies, and I can't host anyone decently (according to my standards) in my current situation. But I really miss it and will try to make it possible again in a not so distant future.

J'ai découvert le couchsurfing en Janvier 2009, et j'ai tout de suite adhéré au concept.
Amoureux de Montpellier, j'étais toujours ravi d'y emmener mes hôtes pour leur faire découvrir son architecture, son histoire et ses panoramas, avant de les amener sur la terrasse d'un café pour profiter du soleil. Apparemment, personne ne s'en est jamais plaint, donc je suppose que ma méthode était la bonne.
Les choses ont aujourd'hui changé. J'ai du quitté la ville chérie de mes années étudiantes, et ma situation actuelle ne me permet pas d'héberger quiconque décemment. Mais le couchsurfing me manque et je compte bien m'y remettre dès que je le pourrai.

* Having a perfect homonym as a flatmate during 2 years. Same name, same surname. True story.
