CURRENT MISSION

I have hit my goal of traveling to 30 countries by the time I turn 30. Now, I need to visit all the continents, 2 left! I usually volunteer somewhere when I travel. I am always looking to learn about new people and cultures!

ABOUT ME

All about me... While not traveling I love to host people at my house... dinner parties, themed parties, bbq, you name it! I enjoy chilling around and watching movies or trying new restaurants. While traveling I strive to learn about new cultures and customs, make new friends, and volunteer.

PHILOSOPHY

My personal quote is "Do not fear death, fear the unlived life". I take this to heart very much. We don't know how much time we have here on Earth, so why not go out and explore it :)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I mainly participate by surfing... I live in a not so desirable place to visit. I live only 20 minutes outside of Portland, OR, so everyone wants to stay in the city!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I only get the opportunity to CouchSurf while I travel during my summer vacations... I work in special education back home, so I take the whole summer to travel and volunteer. I try to surf at least once per summer trip.

Paulo Coehlo, Jodi Picoult, Everything is Illuminated. I love all types of movies. I am not a huge fan of country music, but enjoy pretty much everything else.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

It's hard to narrow this one down... I would say canyoning in the Swiss Alps, or taking a horse ride at the Pyramids in Giza at sunset. I volunteered at an elephant sanctuary in Thailand for a month, where I was able to bath the elephants in the river every day. Now that was cool. I also recently dove the Blue Hole off the coast of Belize, 140 ft down!
