ABOUT ME

Hi! I have moved to Montreal couple of months ago and its been not so bad so far. I am a PhD student and my life is a little bit hectic as I try to adapt to new city/culture social/work environment and deal with heavy coursework and ongoing research.
BUT I am trying to enjoy it as much as possible. I always liked meeting new people and exchange stories. Everyone on this planet has at least seven interesting/inspiring/funny stories and that is why I like this community. I am an easy going smart guy.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I cannot say that I am really active. Back in Istanbul my dear friend Ece (you can find her around here somewhere) tried to encourage me to participate more but I didn't feel very enthusiastic about it. Now I am in a new city, and I am trying at least to attend activities as much as possible and I would like to host someone in future as well.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am a member for a loooong time but I am still a newbie.

Interests

Most of my time goes into my research (geek stuff) and I like filling up the remaining bit with sports/music/technology/entertainment/design. I devote any 3+ days of vacation to either travelling/sailing/scuba diving/hiking/reading/music or teaching/scholarly activities.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy various genres and I switch between them nearly every three months depending on my mood, climate etc. Right now I am back to progressive but in general I listen to classical and blues.
I used to enjoy movies more, I need some guidance.
I wish that I will live long enough to read half of the books in my list.
