About Me
CURRENT MISSION
live love and learn! variety is the spice of life folk, and i love making friend and connections here, there and everywhere!
ABOUT ME
Love to watch movies, listen to music and just chat with folks when i'm inside. outside i love to adventure and polk around. i'm a child at heart and love to meet people and learn about other places, cultures, ideas and viewpoints. i place high value on being open-minded and well-rounded.
PHILOSOPHY
I can't help but think i covered this in my ramblings elsewhere. simply i guess it's just be friendly, be open, be curious and be good. of course we all fall short often times but who's counting right?
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am a busy boy but i'd love to show people around indy, and even host on weekends when i can.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
None as far as this community goes, i'm rather new, but i've benefitted often in life from friedly hosts and help from passers-through. I've met more random folks just passing through places and being friendly than any other way. i love the dynamic and the things you learn from being friendly and helpful to others.
Interests
comic books (yes i know, 25 and still loving them), music, movies, camping, canoeing, knife making (new hobby!) climbing, being creative-not very good at it though, steampunk/post civilization and the philosophies thereof.

Music, Movies, and Books
BOOKS: kon-tiki, kafka on the shore, ferdinand (children's book), the dark tower series, leaves, any walt whitman, any h.p. lovecraft, any poe, and murakami.
GRAPHIC NOVELS/COMICS: hellboy, b.p.r.d., the goon, criminal, incognito, bone, cerebus, ronin, the nobody
MOVIES: way too many to put here. love scifi, love dark comedies, love foreign films, love any kurosawa, things that make you think. love old movies too. anything frank capra or hitchcock especially.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
went to a small midieval village in italy and stayed in a monastary (very cheap!). my alarm clock each morning was the Gregorian chant from the monks. they went to the crypt each morning to pray it.
Teach, Learn, Share
i love to cook and can. it fulfills my desire to be self sufficient. i have a decent small library including fiction, nonfiction, technical stuff, travel and of course, comics. i also have recently taken up knife making, though i do that at a buddy's house though, so if you'd like to do that give me a sizeable heads up so i can order materials and check his schedule too.
