ABOUT ME

I have a pre-teen son and currently have my travelling on hold, but I am still looking for fun, relatively local adventures when I have time for them. I'm a pretty laid-back guy. Some people have said I'm TOO laid-back, and I think they might just be calling me lazy. I'll try just about anything at least once. I definitely have a wandering spirit and look forward to seeing more of this country and others in the future. For right now, I'm trying to find a good balance in life.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now, my participation is minimal, but I am hoping to change that soon. I do travel occasionally for my job and would enjoy meeting local CSers as my work schedule allows.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Everyone that I have surfed with or hosted so far has been really great. It's like meeting people in other places that you know you would be friends with if you lived there. I am proud to be able to tell non-CSers and skeptics that through Couchsurfing I have met some of the coolest people and have never had a bad experience!

Interessen

I love good food, good conversation, sushi, wine, dark beer, and occasionally smoke a pipe. Oh, and I listen to music almost constantly. I like camping, horseback riding, karaoke, and just being with cool people.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

I'm a movie freak and I have a ton of random actor knowledge so I'm not gonna list favs here, but I like a good movie, and occasionally some pretty bad ones. I like all kinds of music except a lot of the Top 40 poppy crap, most rap, and older style country western like Johnny Cash, Colter Wall, and Tyler Childers. I haven't had as much time to read as I used to, but I enjoy C.S. Lewis, Orson Scott Card, Edgar Allen Poe, and of course some comic books.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

I climbed up steep, narrow streets on a mountain near Sorrento, Italy and when I got to the top, I could see everything. There were so many little homes and buildings dotting the coast and the nearby island of Capri, it was unreal.

I've been told that I'm really good at tying neckties. I may be able to give some pointers for aspiring artists.

I would love to learn to play the guitar proficiently.
