COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Formerly hosted many awesome people while living in Albania, Sri Lanka, and again now in California . In my own travels, CS hosts have made all the difference in experiencing and understanding local cultures for me. Traveling vs vacationing.

I love the CS philosophy of offering and receiving hospitality as a way to understand more about each other, and in general breaking down stereotypes and racism.

Interessi

I'm interested in food systems and agriculture, especially postharvest systems and feeding more people with fewer resources. Food security has such a big impact on peace and security in across the globe, as well as culture, environment, ecology, social systems, etc.

Amazing to me that 1) there can be so much gluttonous excess in places and absolute lacking of basic needs in others, and 2) humans let such valuable things such as water, nutrients, and life-giving foods go to waste.

Photography, bookbinding, printmaking, paper arts....

Botany, plant species, vermiculture, soil microbes, paleo-botany...

We are also interested to try drinks from around the world, so if your country or hometown brews/distills something unique we would be excited to taste it :)
