ABOUT ME

I've been making soap, salves, tinctures, balms, deodorant (and many other medicinal remedies) for about 3 years now, am currently working on a farm raising pastured heritage pork, and previously have worked on organic and biodynamic farms throughout the spring/summer/fall months in Ontario. Also took a Permaculture course in the Kootenays last spring. I have been couch surfing on and off since August 2010 and love the lifestyle and the people you meet. Medicinal plants and herbs are another big interest of mine, and is something I'm currently integrating into my soap making and other craftiness. I also work with wool, and have most recently learned how to tan hides (if you going to try this, don't start with boar hides :P)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

The truth of it is that I need a place to stay while I'm attending the course in Nelson. But I would love to be able to share a space with someone who is interested in sharing their knowledge and love for the earth and that I may do the same with them. Life for me is a learning experience that is only enhanced by the wonderful people you surround yourself with.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Like I said earlier, I have been couch surfing since August 2010, and those none of these people I have met on this site, I would be able to provide references to prove my worth, haha. I love coming into peoples lives for a short amount of time, to share knowledge, good times, laughs, and geneal fun-havery :)

Interests

Everything under the sun, but my current and active interests are medicinal herbs, soap making, yoga, the powers of love and intent, and permaculture (of course :)

Teach, Learn, Share

Soap making, herbal concoctions, balms, salves, organic farming (can I please work in your garden!?! After all, it will be spring). I really like making new clothes out of my old clothes, and generally love to work with my hands. I want to learn how to walk a tight-rope, and on stilts.
