My name is Cüneyt, and I am a researcher and lecturer at the Faculty of Fisheries in Rize, specializing in freshwater fish taxonomy. Recently, I arrived in Prague for a one-year postdoctoral research program and am excited to explore this beautiful city during my stay. Unfortunately, I cannot accept guests for the time being because I do not stay here in my own home. I am passionate about my work in ichthyology, but I also enjoy a variety of hobbies in my free time, such as listening to music, biking, walking, watching movies, and playing both football and tennis (just beginner in the tennis :). As I settle into life in Prague, I am looking forward to discovering its rich history, culture, and vibrant atmosphere while making the most of this opportunity to further my research and experience new adventures.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

As a fish taxonomist, I have described many unnamed new freshwater fish species, and I have found two of the ten most wanted wish species in the world: "Batman River Loach" and "Leopard Barbel"
