Overview
About Me
I travel to eat and meet people.
At home I work as a food journalist, spending most of my days interviewing chefs and writing about their stories. When I'm not working I like to try and engage in as many things as I can. Right now that's dancing, board games, badminton, football, cooking and comic books. Next year it might be singing, sewing and basketball, who knows.
I want to meet new people to see how they engage in life, and to find other things for me to get excited about and look forward to.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The simple answer is to meet people and try foods I've never had before. I'm never going to have a different cultural experience in a hotel or an air bnb, they're almost the same experience in any country in the world. I hope through meeting people I can find out about their what they like to eat, why and I want to try everything they eat that I haven't tried.
Interests
I love talking most of all, then eating. I love imagining, exploring, dancing, sport and reading next.

- reading
- socializing

Music, Movies, and Books
I used to exclusively listen to funk, jazz and 60-70s rock but now I am interested in most things. I love to see almost anything live.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I'll never forget the several hour sunset I saw over the mountainous glaciers of Svalbard but what I value more is all the people I've met during 200+ hitchhiking rides and over 15,000km of bike touring.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm not an expert in anything but happy to share what I know about writing, cooking and journalism.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Food and life. I'm a decent chef and always happy to cook for people. I'd consider myself a decent conversationalist and I'm always keen to chat to people, however different to me they might be.
