About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Live a rich and varied life... And have fun doing it!

ABOUT ME

I am mostly a calm and observative person, with a sunny mood, who is very curious about other people and places, their philosophies and ways of life.

Though never the soul of the party (I do tend to drift apart among lots of people, and am a pretty awful dancer); I love to have long talks and getting to know new people. Also, I tend to laugh even at the sillest of jokes.

I am a mix of nerdy comfort-loving couch potato (eat.play.sleep.), and outdoor-crazed hippie. Guess my ideal house would be a confortable farmhouse, full of books and cooking utensils, lots of bedrooms for friends, whith good cds, an enormous and well-cared garden, and a huge TV with my Xbox and tons of games, hehehe

Nowadays I live with my cute (though samurai-like)husband in a small apartament in the outskirts of Brasília, with 3 betta fish, 3 bonsai trees and a multitude of other potted plants.

There is one expression a friend of mine used to say which describes me well, "auto-divertida" which means, roughly, self enterteined. I enjoy myself easily, observing and interacting with people and places, or making up stories (or recipes!)in my head... I might say that i am never bored, and always hungry for life!

PHILOSOPHY

Observe - understand - learn - live

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am a newcomer, right now. So far my contribution is resumed to cooking and chatting in an evening CS party here in my town, but i intend to improve it by making friends ad sharing good experiences wherever i go.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first - and only so far- was a very fun party here in my town. But i am expecting great things to come!

Interests

I am very passionate about cooking (and eating good). This may not be as artsy as painting, sculpting, or playing music, but it is definitely what tickles my imagination the most. Have you seen Ratatouille, the Disney move? Remember that little rat, always curiously sniffing around, mixing ingredients, and tasting samples? That's me.

I am also kind of obsessed with books, and comics(i usually read 2 or 3 per week);and read everything that comes to my hands, even patently horrid romance books or children's (ages 2-3) stories.

As happens with food, although I do have a discerning and educated taste, almost anything deserves to be read, or eaten. How will you know good, if you have never seen worse? And also, good surprises (or at least useful, if nasty, experiences)await those open minded enough to try.

Confession time: Yeah, Mea culpa, I have played "The Sims" so much I started to see that green thingie rotating above people's heads. :0) Pfff, ridiculous but true, I am easily addicted to videogames, computer games, card games, board games... Now with my new IPAD I must be careful, or my social life will sink!

Hmmm... what else... To recharge my batteries there is nothing like a stroll (or nap)in a quiet green place, or a Horse ride though the prairie, smelling the trees, or the cattle... I love all manner of plants and animals, wild and domestic, live surrounded by them and go outdoors whenever possible. AH! And I love caves :)

To say the truth, what i am really interested is in learning, and experiencing the new. Any talk or activity will earn my time, except those few listed below:
-Drug Use (i don't even smoke!)
-Violence, intolerance or ill behaviour against humans or animals.
-Celebrity talk (EEW!)or soap opera.
-Money and finances (I have enough talks about this in my work - no need for more)
-Sports you watch on tv. (sorry, don't like it as a subject, although i may agree to some as an activity.)

That's it, from discussing Phisics to late-night fishing, I am game!
