The sort of things I love are exploring new places (be it new countries or new backstreets in my own city), being near the water, good conversation, drinking tea, knitting and playing boardgames. And if I get to do them outside in the sunshine I'm positively giddy with delight.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I just returned from 6 months travelling in the USA and parts of Europe. I surfed dozens of different couches, went on many adventures and inadvertently hosted a Valentine's day lonely hearts club.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

To me couch surfing is a wonderful mechanism for restoring trust in humanity and eroding the fear generated by the media.

I'm a ninja with a pair of knitting needles or a crochet hook and I'm willing to train others.

I'm hoping to learn as much language as I can.

I'm also keen to learn about the US crafting scene that seems to be blossoming across the country.
