Social working it up in South St Louis City
ABOUT ME
I was born in Israel and moved to Houston when I was five. I went to college in Houston where I officially studied sociology, but really studied languages, cooking, traveling, and joie de vivre. I moved to New York to do Teach for America and lived in Manhattan for two years. I taught for one year in the South Bronx and one year in the North Bronx (go Little Italy in the Bronx!) In 2008, I moved back to Texas and lived in Lubbock for a year and then El Paso on the Texas/Mexico border for two years. In 2011, I moved to St Louis to pursue my MSW from Wash U. I'm almost done with it and am enjoying life!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Many of my good friends are active participants, so I am happy to host and will surf when I have the opportunity. I'm just starting out but so far it's been good!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Not too many experiences, but all of my friends' experiences with Couchsurfing have been extremely positive. In fact, one of my friends' groomsmen in his wedding is a guy he met on Couchsurfing! I've hosted a few times and it's been great so far.
Interests
Cooking, dancing, traveling, hiking, talking with friends and my family, playing games, reading, playing with my doggy, a ridiculous basset hound named Penny.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Life has been pretty good to me. I've lived all over Texas, spent a few years in New York, and spent a good deal of time abroad. I've seen a crowd of 30,000 in Vatican City on Easter Sunday, hugged llamas in Machu Piccu, spent New Years Eve in the Negev Desert in Israel, and watched Lance Armstrong running in the NY Marathon from my fire escape on 1st Avenue.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love to cook and would definitely love to cook with you. I can also give you French and Spanish lessons. I'm not such a baker so I would love to learn more about baking. I'm happy to share my dog with you while you're here, but, although you'll want to, you can't take her home with you :)
