I live a very easy going lifestyle, but I still have a great passion for random adventuring with interesting people in unique places. I'm always looking to learn new things, understand new perspectives, and try something out of the ordinary. You'll usually find me watching a film, going to a concert, or out and about with a camera making my own films and art.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I look forward to starting my surfing experiences through this website in the next few weeks and I hope to host eventually as well once I have a place that is suitable for it.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I did a lot of couch surfing while documenting a band touring around the southwestern United States. It was a great experience, met a lot of fascinating people with interesting stories. Some of the places had couches or just simply floors, but regardless of the accommodation I felt perfectly comfortable and at home. I feel in my element while on the road.

Interests

I'm fascinated by the photochemical process and I have a passion for keeping film and other analog technologies alive in this vast digital age that we live in. I make installations, do live projection performances, and make more classical forms of film both in the narrative and avant-garde realms alike. I love the outdoors, hiking, biking, adventuring, and kicking back with good friends and a decent happy hour.

Music, Movies, and Books

I appreciate creativity and artistry over commercialism and spectacle. I love films, music, and books that challenge me to think, feel, see, hear and experience in wholly unique ways. I'm fascinated by minimalism and the avant-garde.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have great memories being involved with a wilderness film expedition through The Handmade Film Institute. It was an 8 day backpacking trip into the Zirkel Wilderness in Colorado. We hiked in a camera, projector, 16mm film stock, and photochemical supplies to shoot and hand process film amongst the natural darkroom that is the starlit black sky of the wilderness. We also made our own handmade light sensitive emulsion from scratch. It was a vast and immense experience that I will surely never forget.

Teach, Learn, Share

I hope to teach and share the bits of knowledge and experiences that I've gained through my life thus far in exchange for listening and learning to other peoples experiences. I hope I will continue to learn something new every day for the rest of my life.
