About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Explore new places.
ABOUT ME
My name is Curtis, my wife Jasmine and I live together on a small farm in northern Alberta. We have spent many years growing up in a uniquely beautiful part of the world, with the Rocky Mountains, forested wilderness, and Prairies all in our own backyard. We have been blessed with the opportunity to explore Canada, and recently some other parts of the world as well. We love to meet new people, share stories and experiences, and make new friends. I believe a person can learn something from each and every person they meet.
PHILOSOPHY
You'll never know what's out there if you don't explore it!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We are open to couchsurfers visiting Grande Prairie, although it is not a city which is frequented by tourists to say the least. I think CS is not only about a place to stay, but a great way to make new friendships when people are far from home, and to experience more.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My experiences with Couchsurfing have been numerous, and each one unique! Our hosts have been so friendly, hospitable, and generous during our times abroad, and we are so thankful and grateful. It is a truly unique experience to visit a new place with the knowledge and insight of local people, and it makes each visit much more memorable. Sometimes it's nice to "hang out" with people while travelling instead of just being a lonely tourist.
Hosting surfers in our home has actually let us discover more of our own city, and we have fun showing our couchsurfers the highlights of the area. We have the opportunity to host surfers from across Canada and many other countries. Even when you aren't able to travel, it feels like the world comes to you! It is really an incredible way to return the favour to our fellow couchsurfers.
Interests
My interests include many things, but just to name a few: photography, nature & outdoors, architecture, history, hiking, fishing, hunting, trapping, camping, snowmobiling, agriculture, learning about other countries and cultures, and getting to know new friends.
