About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To meet some awesome people and see the world we share.
ABOUT ME
At 19 I decided that I wanted to live on my own and have since been on a lifelong journey to meet as many cool people as I can, learn as much as possible, and HAVE FUN.
I'm often toiling away at some piece of writing, photographing something real sweet or trying to create something unique and interesting for others to enjoy the things that I find beautiful.
I'm a film fanatic so please talk to me about the subject if you are too. My dream still is to be a really awesome pro filmmaker. So far I've worked on dozens of really awesome sets for some films (mostly indie). I've also made quite a bit of money working some really fun (but awful) reality shows as a driver, personal assistant, etc.
In 2009 I opened up my own videography business and have been honing my craft in editing and camera.
In life I like to be silly and spontaneous and in my work and ideas I like them to be very structured... so I guess I'm kind of multi-layered or something.
PHILOSOPHY
"Being is a quiet victory."
Being who you are and living up to your own high standard is the easiest way to self-fulfillment and happiness. Accepting of other people and a healthy curiosity will surely make your life a never ending adventure. Trying not to sound too much like a fortune cookie right now. : )
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've made friends through CS and I really dig the people on here. It's incredible. I've joined as many local meetings as I can and have been the inspiration of several folks to join the site. I think its one of the best sites on the internet.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I stayed on friend's couches so often in my life, but the idea of meeting new people because of a couch is another thing altogether... awesome.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: Usually art films or classics... but occasionally a blockbuster gets me.
Some of my favorites are: Donnie Darko, It's a Wonderful Life, Frequency, On The Road, Pride, Trainspotting, Kubrick films, Woody Allen films, 90's action movies, Back to the Future, The Graduate, and so many more.
Music: indie-pop/rock, new wave, post punk, electric, oldies, very old oldies... my music tastes are still growing.
Books: I love reading when I read. I can talk books, but my knowledge is somewhat limited, but I want to read so much more before I die. Favs are The Count of Monte Cristo, Oliver Twist, East of Eden.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've traveled across America and Canada on a three month trip, sleeping in a car, making me love traveling and hate cars.
Teach, Learn, Share
Photography, Videography, Editing.
I know a little bit about the "biz" that I wouldn't mind sharing and I tend to be fairly frank about it.
Movies, from classic to brand new... can talk your ear off and as one of my favorite couch hosts put it I can really "nerd out" about it. :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
Various photos and how to take a good photo, stories of driving around mild celebrities (as that has been one of my many varied jobs in my life on films/TV), a perspective on the world and a curiosity about yours.
