I hosted once and met people for coffee/drink a few times. All the CSers I met are really special people, mostly very idealistic and energetic. I really like this idealism that seems to be common here

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent some time in an ethnically cleansed village of my grandparents recently with an aunt that is the only person of my family that stayed there. She is basically the principal person that can be credited for most of the renovations of the family homes and cultivation of land. She is growing a plantation of plum trees:)Most people fled because they had to. Crappy politics forced them to. However, my aunt stayed and is continuously doing everything in her power to renew all that was good about Bosnian identity that got devastated during the war and is still being devastated. The odds are really not in her favour. But she is still doing her very best instead of defecting or going completely bitter.I admire immensely when someone manages to preserve his or her integrity in the muddy waters of real life.
