Traveling is one of the most fun, important, influential, inspiring, and eye opening things you can do with your time. The absolute best times I've ever had in my entire life have been while traveling. Constantly seeing new things, places, and meeting new people is one of the most exciting experiences I can imagine. The biggest barrier for most people (myself included) is expense. Couchsurfing helps address one of the most cost prohibitive parts of travel, which is room and board.
