About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Sprinklin' moxie everywhere I go

ABOUT ME

I'm a curious sorta gal, with a bit of spunk and sass, who loves to be out and about, meeting new people, learning new things, and playing in the sunshine!

My favorite words include: wanderlust, serendipity, kismet and happenstance.

I always make a wish at 11:11. And on falling stars. And with pennies in fountains. And...well, you get the idea...

PHILOSOPHY

"Curiouser and curiouser," --Alice (as in Wonderland)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I had a couple of great (and one not-so-great) CS experiences while backpacking in eastern Europe...I'd love to return the favors that I had there! I can't host as much as I'd like, but the CSers I have hosted have been a sheer delight.

I've made some amazing friends through hosting and just going out with other local CSers and I can't imagine my life without CS and the people it has brought into my life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbed Mt. Fuji through the night to see the sunrise from the summit. Among the best--and worst--18 hours of my life!

I worked as a translator for four months for the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology. I translated the curriculum of the engineering department but I don't speak German.

My very first couchsurfing experience: an amazing night of dancing and roaming the streets of Varna, Bulgaria--ending up on the beach, watching the sun rise over the Black Sea.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have a Ph.D. in clinical psychology, which most people tend to find pretty interesting (myself included, of course!). That, coupled with some pretty fun adventures stories from traveling throughout the world, means I consider myself a decent conversationalist with most of the CS community!
