ABOUT ME

I've spent the last few years establishing a design build company with two partners and a great group of employees. We will be transitioning to a worker-owned cooperative by the end of this year and are very much looking forward to operating as a more socially equitable company.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with friends, family, my partner, and our two cats. I hope to buy/build a house soon and, among other things, have the capacity to host travelers.

Before starting a company 3 years ago, I spent most of a decade traveling and living in different places. I have been fortunate enough to experience the openness and hospitality of thousands of strangers-turned-friends during my travels. I look forward to finding new ways to participate in the global community, both through hosting and visiting.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have surfed 20 or 30 times and had a wonderful experience every time. I've hosted a few times as well and would love to host more. Unfortunately, our landlord does not permit us to host currently. I look forward to having a home in the near future where we can host frequently.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Hitchhiked across the U.S. for about 5 months. In that whole time, I spent 2 nights camping off the road, 1 night in a hotel, about 2 weeks couch surfing, and about a month with friends. The other three months and change, random strangers invited me into their homes, fed me, showed me around their town, laughed with me, and wished me the best of luck when I left.
This world truly is filled with wonderful people.

I can teach about building. Carpentry, masonry, metalworking, CNC operation, design, et cetera. I have worked with many mediums in many venues.

I am always interested in learning more about building science, community planning, local economic models, and lots more.
