Music, Movies, and Books

Music and movies where you can feel the directors hand at play. I'm an unabashed Scorcese fan, because I feel him guiding me through the underworld of Goodfellas. I adore Werner Herzog for his madness in Fitzcarraldo, in which Fitzcarraldo tries to "civilize" the Amazon by building an opera house there. Kinski spends the entire film dragging a steam boat over a mountain. Madness. Malick's newest film, Tree of Life is one of the most beautifully shot, ever.. each frame invoked a memory from my past.
A adore the "grim reaper / grand weaper" songs of Tom Waits... he's one who can tell a great joke then follow it up with a heartbreaking ballad. I'm pretty sure Dylan has had a constant presence through my speakers since my teens. MIA is smart, edgy, sexy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've traveled through various cities displaying my work. This year, legendary artist Jim Dine curated a show in which my piece was one of 149 of 2000 entries selected for the Boston Print Biennale.
I also drove across the country, from Jacksonville Fl, to Tucson, Az in a mini cooper. That was amazing.
