ABOUT ME

As more and more people are using the mobile app and don't see all of my profile, I find it necessary to state upfront that I am a single gay man. Most of my couchsurfers are not. If you are cool with that, read on.

The most wonderful experiences of my life have all been meeting new and interesting people. It has been people who have inspired me, enlightened me, loved me, educated me, and encouraged me to give as much to life as humanly possible. My life is rich and full today because of the many fabulous people who have shared part of themselves with me.

PHILOSOPHY

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My home is not a free bed in lieu of a hotel. I am interested in meeting people who are on a journey and who want to share something along the way. By sharing, I mean your experience, your stories, your cooking, your music, etc. Everyone who has surfed with me has enriched my life in some way. That is the trade - I am willing to host if you are willing to share.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had only positive experiences with the people for whom I have hosted. Couch Surfing has been great! I have had some marvelous adventurers and explorers surf my couch. Everyone has had a story and I have enjoyed meeting them all.

My first experience with surfing was with my friends Alex and Nadia who stayed with us in Dallas. They invited us into their fantastic flat in Paris and provided us with a genuine Parisienne experience. Alex and Nadia have become dear friends - all thanks to couchsurfing.
