Hi! I am Cyann, a french traveler enthusiast about meeting new people!

I am working in Heidelberg, Germany as field Environnmental Engineer. I studied marine chemistry in Toulouse, France, and Trondheim, Norway!

I love travels and discoveries, and I am really open to meet people and to new experiences. I have an easy-going and joyful personality, always seeing the positive side of things and truly non-judgmental. I love to dance, laugh, learn any kind of new skill, go to the cinema, cook, or watch the stars!
I play music, mostly guitar and piano, and I am trying to record songs for a second album when I have time! I like to go to open mics sessions in bars, or concerts, and share/listen to any kind of music!
I also enjoy sports (I do/did running, rugby, volleyball, and sailing among others).

I am new to Couchsurfing, but I have shared many flats with international roommates and have been hosted by several families during my trips to South America. I’m used to sharing living spaces and being part of a community, and I absolutely love it! I truly enjoy being around people, but I also know how to be autonomous and independant. I am very adaptable and attentive— a true chameleon!

I love challenges and often sign up for spontaneous, crazy experiences, such as when my friend and I decided to hitchhike from Norway to France to make it home for Christmas. 6 countries in 6 days with our giant backpacks, great sucess!
I also made the solo journey back from Istanbul to France by bus and train. It took me two weeks, I visited five countries, and had countless incredible encounters along the way!

I love sharing, discovering and exploring. I am very keen on learning new things, and I am passionate about cultural exchange. I have learned a lot by meeting new people throughout my travels, and I always find something inspiring for me in every person. Conversations with people from different cultures make me see life from a different perspective. I am very curious, and immersing myself in the culture of a country has led me to experience exciting adventures that I would have never had access to if I had traveled in a bubble!

I'm a real foodie, I can spend hours on google maps and instagram trying to find the best authentic food spots! I love yo try new specialities, and I am very curious!

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I have crossed the Atlantic sailing with 3 friends from uni!
We created an environmental association and went to raise awareness in schools about the environnment, created a web serie and posts on social media. We also had a science project, collecting sargasso seaweed and plakton for french laboratories. In total, 5 months on a 11-meters sailing boat, and 3 weeks crossing from Europe before reaching the Caribbean! (ig: @crealocean)

After that, I got to spend 3 months traveling solo in Colombia and it was the best immersive experience I've lived, especially during the 2 weeks I spent in a farm, riding horses barefoot every day herding cows and milking them every morning at 4am!!
