Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Studying to be an Occupational Therapist. Learning how to be a husband.
ABOUT ME
I'm always after new experiences and find meeting new people really rewarding. I have a passion for the outdoors and the environment. I'm generally at my happiest in the mountains - hiking, cycling or canoeing with friends.
PHILOSOPHY
Keep an open mind, there are always two sides to an arguement. New experiences tend to be more rewarding than do the same thing - so I'm not particularly good at one thing!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I hope to share any skills and knowledge I have (limited!) and learn about different cultures.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I started out surfing with a lovely couple in Paris and since then have mostly hosted.
I´ve also hosted quite a few people whilst living in a little house in Wales. I set up a group for locals too and organised the first Bangor-Nottingham meet up which resulted in much dancing at a Welsh Ceilidh!
I hosted some folk whilst living in Bristol and got involved with the local CS scene, organising some walks, board games and picnics.
I've now moved to York for studies and live with my wife Jenni. We both would like to be more hospitable.
Interests
Cycling, hill walking, climbing, kayaking and pretty much any outdoor pursuit. I also enjoy playing tennis, squash, badminton, football, and ultimate frisbee.
Anything environmental/sustainable - renewable energy, recycling, sustainable architecture, campaigning , self-sufficiency - gardening. I also love to cook and am particularly fond of vegetables.
But mainly I tend to stare into space absent-mindedly :)
