About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Hum... Succeeding in understanding why I keep travelling (and enjoying it!) while there are so many other important things I would (and should) like to do...

ABOUT ME

Ouch... Hard question. Well I am a guy (it's true!), 29 years old now and I studied history. I speak native French Canadian, my English is not too bad usually and my Russian is getting better everyday.

I (think) that I am generally easygoing, I love to talk (but don't worry, I also know how to listen!), especially when it gets to philosophy: meaning of life, state of the world or even my wish of building a home in the woods and live there! Or, of course, more normal subjects ;)

Beside that, I love to dream (the day when I will have more free time than plans for it, I will be ready to die... and now I am not). I also have many interests: nature (from cycling, hiking to simply relaxing by the lake), litterature, simply enjoying a beer with people. For more infos on me, we'll have to meet!

PHILOSOPHY

Ouch! Can we really know that? Well, as a preliminary overview, I would say... Have dreams, follow them, enjoy the moment BUT always have plans for the future (and then change them as life goes). And then change the world, maybe.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Well, I discovered CS when I arrived in volgograd on this cycling trip and was invited. Than, I got the chance to use it, and receive quite a few people in my appartment in Osh, Kyrgyzstan and then in Tbilisi, Georgia. I look forward to hosting soon again, but as we are currently living in London with my girlfriend's parents, that will have to wait.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far, it has completely changed (ok, that MAY be an overstatement) the way I travel. I used to visit countryside only, as I cycle... CS is for me a great ay of actually enjoying cities and meeting younger people. Love it! And hosting is also a really nice experience... Really, I feel that I can understand a lot more about the countries I visit, not to talk about awesome conversations with some hosts! To finish, after some experience in hosting, it as proven to be just as fun... Yep, great idea.

Interests

Hum... For a start, people. Ideas. History, books, cycling... Discovering new interests!
