CURRENT MISSION
Play music, learn programming, make art.
ABOUT ME
I am an adventurous, creative Reed College graduate. I spent the last year bumbling around for what to do post-undergrad, which felt really weird but as far as I can tell is actually pretty normal. My latest five-year plan is to: get an awesome job, travel a lot, compete on and win The Amazing Race, found my first startup, and then continue to be an imaginative delight to all those around me for the next five years after that.
PHILOSOPHY
A collection of mottos:
Think it: do it.
Never give up, never surrender!
If you can't be good, be careful!
There's no such thing as bad weather, just inappropriate clothing.
If you're bored, you're a boring person.
Don't forget to bring a towel.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was trapped on the shore of Clearwater Lake during the Boundary Waters blowdown storm in 1999. It is a long and harrowing tale to tell in full, but we finally kayaked back to Clearwater lodge at the far end of the lake through eerie silence and bright sunshine after waiting out the storm huddled against a tree that was protected by bluffs. To look out at the surrounding wilderness on the unprotected side of the lake, all the trees around had blown over and were knocked down on top of each other like so many tiny broken toothpicks.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share my knitting skills. I play guitar, some piano, and I sing so I could entertain you or we could jam together, if you are also a musician. I can teach you about vegetarian cooking, amphibians and theater. I love to talk about books and movies.
