ABOUT ME

Traveling has always been a part of my self-definition. Spent many summers in France visiting with grandparents and other relatives. I also travel in my mind, via dreams, poetry, and shamanic journeying (feel free to ask!). It took a while for me to follow my passion (psycho-spirituality), but I'm on the path. Love this stage in my family life--my 2 kids are 14 and 16, and I always say they teach me more than I teach them! My husband and I are adventurers, and we try to teach that to our kids in between day-to-day life.

PHILOSOPHY

Meeting and connecting with people, animals, nature can only lead to greater reverence for life. We're all here for a reason, and we can all shine if we follow that reason. I believe in my own passion and deeply believe that the world would be a better place if we all followed the passion in our hearts.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So many great travel experiences--last summer did taekwondo training in S. Korea with a bunch of people from my taekwondo school (first Asia trip--I want more!). At 16, got "stuck" in Luxembourg for 3 days, so learned about hostels and independent travel. I have to say that's when I really got the bug. Hitched cross-country US when I was 18 with some friends, including my now-husband of 21 yrs (but I never want my kids to do that--yikes!). Wine-tasting trip to France...Junkanoo in Nassau, road trip to Quebec City with my kids, stopping every 3 hrs to stay so they wouldn't get tired of the car.
