CURRENT MISSION
I'm not mission-based...
ABOUT ME
I find movement to be an integral part of my life. Movement, change is essential both physically and mentally. Travel, people and cultures stimulate this change, meeting and being open to different things stimulate this change. So, I guess this explains why I'm here.
PHILOSOPHY
Philosophy is absolutely essential.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I'd heard of Hospitality Club and it's basic idea before I tried it out myself and it sounded pretty scary - the trust that is needed for this kind of a project is insane! I doubted I'd ever try it out for myself until we traveled to Hungary with my friend Liina. The trip was really low-budget and that's basically why I agreed to try this thing out. But as soon as we met the first person who hosted us, I was blown away by how wonderful people really are! It's a very unique way to meet people and it's the best way to get a taste of what it's like to live somewhere. And on that trip I heard about CouchSurfing. So it was an eye-opening experience...

Dancing, thinking, traveling, hiking, singing, reading, genealogy, knitting, people (both in a theoretical sense of ethnology/anthropology and in a practical sense of just, well, people), culture (both in the theoretical sense of cultural theories and in the practical sense of getting to know different cultures in the widest possible meaning),ideas (both in the philosophical sense and also in an active sense), aesthetics (I enjoy beauty - I won't get into what "beauty" is right now), moments.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: Tarantino has it, Lynch has it, Von Trier has it, Rodrigues has it. I love to watch road movies too (Easy Rider being one of the essential ones). I also love musicals, mostly because musicals have perfected the skill of laughing at oneself, which, in my opinion, is one of the most important skills one can have. I've lately discovered how much I enjoy good documentaries and anthropological films.
Music: Flamenco, rock, blues, folk, some alternative stuff. Estonian music, Russian rock, Slavic folk, Spanish pop (but the good kind!)...
Books: I love children's books (Alice in Wonderland, Mary Poppins, anything from Astrid Lindgren, Talks with a Tiger etc) but when you look around in my room you see Salinger next to Nietzsche next to Vonnegut next to Le Guin next to Plato next to... well, you get the drift. Eclectic, philosophical, multidimentional.
