About Me

Hi! I’m Cynthia from Nyeri, Kenya — a peaceful town surrounded by mountains, tea farms, and nature. I love meeting people from different parts of the world and exchanging real, human experiences — not just tourism.
I’m open-minded, LGBTQ+ friendly, and deeply passionate about meaningful conversations, culture, mental wellness, and safe human connection. I live in a cozy home where guests are treated with respect, kindness, and privacy.
If you stay with me, I can show you the heart of Nyeri hidden local spots, nature views, food, and real everyday life beyond the usual tourist view. I don’t host for money I host to learn, connect, and share warmth.
All I ask from guests is respect, honesty, and an open heart.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined Couchsurfing because I love meaningful human connection. I don’t just want to travel or host I want to experience real culture, real people, and real stories, far beyond what hotels or tourist places offer.
For me, Couchsurfing is about friendship, learning, and cultural exchange. I enjoy opening my home to respectful travelers and also hope to explore the world in the same genuine, human way not aa customer, but as a guest and a friend.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I created a safe space for LGBTQ+ people in Kenya to feel seen, heard, and supported in a country where it’s still dangerous to be yourself.

Teach, Learn, Share

I believe in teaching, learning, and sharing.
I can share my culture, language, and real Kenyan life and I’m also open to learning from my host’s world. I love meaningful conversations, exchanging ideas, and understanding how people live differently around the globe.
For me, Couchsurfing is not about free accommodation it’s about human exchange, kindness, and mutual respect. I’m always happy to teach something new, learn something new, and share whatever I can from my heart and culture.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share good conversation, kindness, and a genuine cultural exchange from Kenya. I love talking about life, culture, food, and different human experiences especially if you enjoy meaningful talks.
I can also help with cooking Kenyan meals, teaching Swahili basics, or showing you music, traditions, and real Kenyan life from my perspective. If needed, I’m also respectful of quiet space and can adapt to my host’s energy whether social or private.
I always carry respect, cleanliness, and gratitude wherever I stay.
