About Me
Hello! I'm a 21-year-old American chick who got sick of the States and moved to Europe. (Wanderlust, anyone?) I took a study abroad semester in London (Digby til I die!) and then decided I wasn't finished traveling, so I'm taking (at least) a year off of school to au pair. At the moment, I live in the Netherlands, where I struggle mightily with the Dutch language and a couple of very active Dutch primary schoolers.
Interests
Like everyone else on this website, I loooooove to travel! Beyond that, I have an age-inappropriate (and embarrassingly large) interest in Doctor Who. Due to an interesting medical history, I've got a large fascination with anything and everything medical, and I've gotten pretty good at reading KUB x-rays. I am deeply in love with food of many varieties, and I am a fan of most alcohols except beer. I have more polka-dotted dresses than anyone you know because my favorite things are (you guessed it) polka dots and dresses!

Music, Movies, and Books
Here's where I admit to the thing that embarrasses everyone I know... I am enormously into musical theater. Bring on the Wicked and the Les Mis and the Phantom of the Opera, my friends, because my running list of musicals I've seen is something I'm nearly as proud of as my running list of countries I've visited.
In a similar vein, my favorite movie is Les Miserables (the musical version, of course!) I do an incredible one-lady medley of all of the songs, if you've got a few hours to spare. ;) Beyond that, I'm seriously a fan of chick flicks (sorry, movie buffs!) and I think Titanic is the height of cinema. I'm perfectly willing to watch just about anything but horror, though, since I'm a bit of a scaredy cat!
My taste in literature is not so easy to define... My favorite book (well, okay, series) is Outlander by Diana Gabaldon (seriously, it's incredible, go check it out). I'm currently reading A Game of Thrones by George R. R. Martin, though, and I'm definitely enjoying it!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I once hiked part of the Pyrenees from France to Spain (in the dark, in the rain, and alone) to find a place to stay because I got stranded. Oops?
What I Can Share with Hosts
I've lived a (still admittedly short) life chock-full of bad luck and questionable decision-making, so I've got enough completely ridiculous (true!) stories to keep you entertained for hours!
