About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To have a conversation with a stranger over a cup of coffee/tea in a foreign place and to feel just at home.

ABOUT ME

I'm a friendly individual! Here's hoping that other people can vouch this quality in me.

I'm a pretty ordinary person, really, but I guess what makes me different..or why you might want to get to know me..is that I have all the time in the world to hear you out. All I require is a smile =)

PHILOSOPHY

Happiness is a journey, not a destination.

Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever- Ghandi

Don't be scared to try things, be scared because you might regret not doing so

I think when we grow up, we get dis-enchanted with the World. We have the same circle of friends. We work and nothing day to day is too memorable. We're told to believe in things that aren't right for us or that we need things in our lives.

Travelling is my ultimate form of self indulgence where I can get lost and move to my own pace

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I usually have a couch available and a sleeping bag. I'm happy to give a little tour around the area too although I don't know it that well!

I would also like to couch surf too

So- you scratch my back...and I'll scratch yours!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I hosted a good man Aussie who I met on an impromptu trip to meet a Switz friend in Edinburgh. I found it fascinating that he was impressed to see moss on trees.

It really maked me appreciate the little things in life that I'd forgotten to see anymore

Interests

I love meeting new people and seeing things from a whole different perspective.

On another more generic list:
I play the piano and violin and I have occasionally busked for some travelling funds (it was never enough)

Animals (dead or alive) - by that I mean Zoos and Natural History Museums

I love a good read- Dystopian worlds like "Brave New World" is great

Films- I have great taste in films, don't you worry

Cooking- I can cook a mean British Steak and Ale pie

Painting and DIY - I've once made a 6ft size Snorlax BeanBag Chair/bed
