About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travel the world, meet new people and experience their lives and culture

ABOUT ME

I'm 22 years old, and I'm really short, lets just get that out of the way. I'm a pretty down to earth person. I moved from Windsor, Ontario to Toronto in September 2010, and I absolutely love it here! I'm usually willing to try anything once. Though sometimes I come off as quiet or shy, but once you get to know me you'll learn that I'm really loud and I like to joke around a lot. I don't really know what else to put here, so feel free to send me a message :)

Although I have not done very much to get involved in the couchsurfing community, I'd really like to get to know more people. No one has sent me anything on here so it's hard! I really do love meeting new people even though at first I typically come off as shy, I'm ever so slightly awkward, but once we get talking I quickly grow out of it.

When I was younger I was really into body modification (piercings and tattoos) though I don't have too many, but I still know a lot about them (good conversation topic!)

I come from a weird cultural combination, I guess you could say. I'm Chinese, but with a Honduran upbringings? It's weird to explain and as a result most of my friends when I was younger thought that I was adopted and that my parents were Mexican (haha) So let me explain, all four of my grandparents were born and raised in China, (the whereabouts, I have absolutely no idea!) but then all four moved to Honduras, Central America, there they lived in a Chinese community so my parents knew each other as kids, since they were both born and raised there. As my parents got older they moved around, then got married in Canada, and here I am today! I am a Canadian Asian, with Honduran influences!

My parents own a Mexican restaurant in Windsor, it's actually the only Mexican restaurant in town that has stayed open for so long, this year is our 20th year open! So because of that, I can cook Mexican food pretty well, and as a guest I would be more than happy to cook for you!

PHILOSOPHY

Everyone should be open to new and different things, safety permitting in some situations I suppose. But I strongly believe that you should treat others the way you want to be treated, because how would anything be fair if that wasn't true!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm VERY glad to say that ALL of my couchsurfing experiences have been more than wonderful. As of now I've stayed with, 5 people and they have all been amazing! Super nice and generous. Sadly, right now I cannot host over night at my place, but hopefully one day I can. You meet the most interesting people from couchsurfing!

Teach, Learn, Share

Apparently I'm quite crafty, which you can see from my one picture. I've recently gotten into crocheting things that look like food, or whatever. I recently made my brother a hat that looks like Bender from Futurama (http://d1oi94rh653f1l.cloudfront.net/10/pictures/large/8e8a722b4166c8adb522626de7a9bc8d_26094273.jpg). I can also knit and bake :)
