Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Beyond the 'Things to Do' and 'Things to See,' I believe that people make places. I could be traveling in a busy capital and it could seem like the dullest place on Earth without connections I make with the locals. On the other hand, a small town that hardly sees any tourism could be a lively spot for making great memories if I were surrounded by good company. A bonus is that interesting people give interesting recommendations for hidden gems and local favorites—I like it when people have strong opinions about stuff!
