Overview
About Me
We recently moved to Sabadell (Catalonia). This will probably be our last move (at least, for a while), after having lived in 6 different apartments (3 countries, 2 continents) in the last 6 years.
We also moved to a different network for meeting and hosting friends. It's called BeWelcome.org. It is not-for-profit and operated transparently. Perhaps we'll see many of you there! Our profile name is the same.
CURRENT MISSION
Live a sustainable and well-balanced life.
ABOUT ME
Hi! We are a family of four.
About our lifestyle and interests: We live on organic, locally grown food. We enjoy cooking and trying out new recipes with local and often unfamiliar ingredients! Both of us lived (and met!) in Bloomington, Indiana (US), and we enjoy traveling. Some of our interests include fiction (Dani) and reading about consciousness (Ignasi), independent films, anarchism, feminism. We appreciate the simple joys of life and feel more respected in non-commercial relationships, like exchanges BookMooch or BeWelcome, sharing open-source software and participating in cooperative projects.
We look forward to meeting you!
PHILOSOPHY
Live a sustainable, well-balanced life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Ignasi and I mostly host (but have surfed on occasion, too), and we proudly spread the word about BW.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
The thought of having a home in every corner of the world is comforting.
Interests
These change periodically, but here you have a few:
biking; hiking; food and cooking; reading fiction; consciousness (that's Ignasi); feminist theory; learning Catalan (Dani) and Bulgarian (Ignasi); herbs and healing; urban gardening; spirituality and intuitive knowledge; pagan religions.

Music, Movies, and Books
We read plenty of political theory, social science and fiction. We're always happy to receive book recommendations from our guests/hosts!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
How people open their homes and hearts to strangers.
Teach, Learn, Share
I know a cool trick for hiccups! Press on both of your ear traguses while drinking water. Yes, you'll need to get some help with this, or use a straw. It really works!
If you're into CS, you may be interested in BookMooch, too. It's a community for exchanging books on a point-based system, so all you pay is postage. I have been a member for 3-4 yrs. www.bookmooch.com
