About Me

I just graduated from McGill university in Montreal and am currently living and traveling in europe while looking for a job. I was born in France, grew up in the US, and now live in Canada.
I like making things, cooking, and being outside.

For the moment, while I'm traveling through Europe I will be traveling by bike for large portions, but also some backpacking trips.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I hoping I can find some places to stay while traveling, and locate people in new place a to say hello to. I'm often traveling by bike, and especially when passing through cities, couch surfing is a great way to find a place for the night, and not get stuck on the outskirts. I also don't want to travel in isolation, I don't want to just take hotels for the night, and I hope I can talk to people and learn about the people and places I visit.

Interests

Bikes/cycling
Sailing and boats in general
Making things, especially woodworking

Also, apart from the material things, any more, I feel very strongly motivated about human rights issues, and particularly about how we deal with human migration, so I'd love to talk about that with you.

Music, Movies, and Books

I just read a really interesting book called "When the United States Spoke French" about the french involvement in the forming the business relations of the early US with europe. Turns out incredibly powerful families and bakers is nothing new in forming the direction of the united states.

I like this sort of stuff, I know, I'm super hip. My friends call me Old Man...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I biked through greece and turkey by myself. It was a blast, even as ill prepared as I might have been. I also built stuff; a kayak, and an electric race car at university.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A good humor, and a easy going attitude. I would also be happy to cook for/with hosts. I really like cooking and learning recipes and ideas from others. If it helps I'm not so bad at fixing stuff, having worked as a bike mechanic, and having built many things.

Countries I’ve Visited

Bahamas, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, Switzerland, Thailand, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States
