About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Steadily increasing my successes by doubling my failures.
ABOUT ME
I am an enthusiastic introvert, road warrior, and wanderer. I enjoy getting lost and then looking at a map to figure out where I've landed.
PHILOSOPHY
Unity in what is essential. Liberty in non-essentials. And in all things, charity.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Sharing community, conversation and a good drink while opening the doors of my house to friends and guests.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My most unusual couch surfing experience was once when I agreed to host a particular individual who traveling cross-country by bus. I learned the day she was set to arrive that the bus station had moved across town and that I had no idea when she was going to arrive, nor did I have a means of contacting her. After waiting on the curb at a gas station with a bunch of other confused bus travelers, I left my number with a station attendant and began giving other stranded travelers rides to public transit depots in town, eventually offered my vacant couch to a hitchhiker I met while waiting. I woke up the next day and checked the CS site, discovering that my misplaced surfer had missed her stop in Santa Fe and was 800 miles away in California, instead. Music, Movies, and Books
Anime and animation in a variety of genres and categories (Paprika, The Incredibles, The Iron Giant) Not a huge fan of gross-out or pop culture comedies though I thoroughly enjoy Monty Python's Flying Circus. I read books by people like Ray Bradbury, Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, Peter S. Beagle, Oscar Wilde, R.L. Stevenson and H.G. Wells. I'm a total nerd.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Dancing on the Santa Fe plaza bandstand at midnight with the most beautiful girl in the world. Lights strung up in the trees. Not another soul in sight...marrying that same girl a couple years later and still dancing.
Teach, Learn, Share
Want to discuss or learn about animation and it's history/prospects? Curious about motorcycling? Never knew the U.S. even had a state called New Mexico? I'll be happy to introduce you to green chile!
