About Me
I'd make a mistake saying I'm an open minded person looking for new culture and this and that and a perfect world with little birds whistling.. Who would say the opposite? Who would not tend or try to show the ideal traveler spirit on his/her couchsurfing profile? Doesn't it mean this is insignificant bull crap if everyone has these all similar things written on their profile? Or else couchsurfing members personality are not following a normal distribution over its entire population and everyone here is truly open-minded. My experience tells me it isn't that.
I like likeable people. I like silence as I like laughing out loud. I am a mechanical engineer but I love art. I never tell off people who don't judge others. I still learn to shut my mouth in appropriate times. I was raise on a farm: nature, animals, and the country side lifestyle have been part of my upbringing and I still appreciate anything related to it. I love my city, I love living in a city. I enjoy going out. More and more for a purpose, music concerts, exhibitions, hockey games, etc. Less and less just to get drunk :) I practice different sports, indoors and outdoors. Sports keep me happy alive. I like to hear about people's past. I like to learn from my close people's stories, passions, and experiences, and I feel privileged when it comes from couchsurfers. I like to share.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
All good really.
One kick ass experience is the last minute trip from Sweden to Finland with Jerry. Random and perfectly set: a nice 30 deg and full sunshine in Helsinki.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm reading La Plaisanterie de Milan Kundera, then I will start Les Particules Elémentaires from Michel Houellebecq as I told myself. I recently watched ''L'homme qui aimait les femmes'' from François Truffaut and appreciated it to the extent of watching it a second time soon after. A recent film I just watched is Frank and I truly recommend it to all contemporary music lovers and/or to all the offbeat persons here.
The last music concert I've been to was Death from Above 1979. At the moment couple bands are always turning in my car such as Parquet Courts, TV on the Radio, Interpol, the Kills.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Go on a 10ish-hour-roadtrip with a friend from Montreal to Toronto to smoke one joint on top of the CN Tower at the sunset. Going for a dinner at the Piz Gloria. Riding my snowboard/mtb in the Rockies, in the Pyrenees, and in the Alps. Backpacking for two weeks in wonderful Kenya at the age of 20. Hitchhike with a friend from Grenoble to Valencia. Ride my KTM supermoto across UK, France, Germany and Switzerland to reach the Alps. Go hunting the partridge in the north of Quebec and cook from my own hunt. Running a half-marathon.. Scuba diving different lakes in Quebec and the indian ocean.
Having the best surfing experience in the UK by Woolacombe.
