Couchsurfing was once more than just a free place to stay - it was a community. You hosted and stayed with people in order to get to know someone, and hopefully learn something in the process. Nowadays all the requests I'm getting are just people looking for a free place to stay. If you'd like to stay with me, please make it clear that you're looking for more than just a free place to crash.

ABOUT ME

I'm an environmentalist, health-conscious, big into the outdoors (hiking, climbing, mountain biking, backpacking, skiing, snowboarding, exploring), spirituality, continually expanding my awareness, very adventuresome (and always looking for one!), into sports, dance, and VERY into music (I play the piano, guitar, and go to see live shows often. Always looking for the latest and greatest music around). Also very friendly and social. I also have two amazing cats!!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hosting and surfing myself!I currently live in Edmonton , AB, and work for the government. I'm happy to host, and will take you out to local events (and hiking / exploring) if I have time. I'm also happy to share my knowledge about the local spots for you to hit, and help with directions, etc. Please make your own food arrangements; I host lots and can't cook for everyone. Also, please be clean and tidy!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Hitch-hiked across the western US, and slept on a couple couches on the way! It was fantastic. I've also CS'd in Europe, and do so in Canada & the US whenever I travel. I have also hosted a lot. Great experiences.
