Overview
About Me
I come from the lovely island “Taiwan”, and I have done an Erasmus exchange program, studying linguistics at Universitätä Leipzig in Germany. I am currently in Taiwan.
I would describe myself as an easy-going, open-minded, friendly, and happy person. I love meeting new people, so feel free to contact me when you are in Taiwan.
Okay, until here, you might feel boring because everybody uses this introduction, so I will introduce myself in detail.
I’m major in English and minor in German in Kaohsiung, which represents warm, kind, enthusiastic people from Taiwan. You’re so lucky because I’m the local in Kaohsiung, and you will know and experience how hospitality we are.
I’m studying languages, and it is the turning point I started to explore the world, and connect with people with my language ability. I’m ready to travel around the world.
I love to listen to stories from others, so I do like to share my stories with you.
Communicating with people from different countries around the world, and having fun together is like I’m traveling, so that’s the reason why I’m on Couchsurfing,
Before I went to Germany, I had also traveled around Taiwan, not just sightseeing, but travel in the way as I live there. If you are planning to travel to Hualien, Taitung, or Tainan, I can also give you some tips.
Moreover, my hometown is Taipei. I could give you lots of local sights in Taipei because I’m sure you are going to visit Taipei. Though Kaohsiung is just 300km from Taipei, there is still a different culture between the southern part and northern part of Taiwan. Therefore, we can talk about Taipei and Kaohsiung when you are here!
I need to practice my languages, and I’m eager to learn, everything, like challenging conversations or sharing lives, would be a good opportunity for me. I’m challenging myself and trying to leave my comfort zone.
Don’t you want to know more about me?
Why don’t we chat and get to know each other’s’ stories face-to-face on the sofa?
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
For me, to see the world, the cultures, lives, to connect with people, is not only for experiencing the world, but also for a better understanding to the others, and I will get the answer about how to interact with people, how to help the others, and finally how to make the world into a better place to live.
“He that travels far knows much”, there’s nothing better than traveling alone and connecting with people from all over the world. I love getting in touch with other cultures.
There must be lots of good places and lovely people I have never met, I must see it on my own, and share it in my way.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love country music and like almost all kinds of music.
I have watched lots of Japanese and Korean dramas, and Japanese animation, and American dramas, like Grey’s Anatomy, Modern Family.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Travel in Taitung for 3 days without planning. My friends and I got an idea to travel to the eastern part of Taiwan. We lent two scooters and brought a tent and started our trip. We’ve camped on the beach, in the elementary school, and took a bath in a temple and hot-spring-area in the mountain.
Riding scooter up to the 1200m mountain, and riding back at night. It was really exciting!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share my experience doing an exchange program in Leipzig and my knowledge about Chinese history and culture.
I’m interested in learning more about a different culture and local life, and I would like to improve my English and German.
I enjoy listening to “your” stories, what you have done before, everything you want to share with me. I’d like to know different goals or attitudes to life, no matter they are useful to me or just different.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Local Experience of Taiwanese, Exchanging Cultures, Cooking, Singing, anything fun.
You can practice Chinese with me. I’d be happy to help you improve.
I’m very happy to share my life in Taiwan, and Chinese culture.
And you will receive your Chinese name written in “Chinese calligraphy” as a gift.
Moreover, I have done an exchange program in Uni-Leipzig, and have lived there. I can share the differences between Germany and Taiwan that I discovered, and the cultural shock that I have got.
If the host has time, I can cook dinner for you! (We can discuss the detail before we meet.) I’m good at cooking, especially Chinese dishes.
