BTW, that profile photo of me is not really me. I look similar to it, but also a bit different. Sometimes I sport a full beard which makes me look wise, and at other times just a mustache which makes me look a little sleazy. And, when I shave it all off I look younger than I really am (25).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Mainly a Stammtisch (Meeting) in Tübingen. Interesting people there.
I wonder if they think I am interesting too...

When visiting Couchsurfing friends Sandra and Erick (see friends profile), I have a very relaxing, comfortable, secure, and enjoyable time on their couch, and in their company. Its usually the three of us plus a few other friends on their amazing couch (strictly platonic). Not sure why, but when I assume the position on their couch, I fall asleep. I highly recommend their couch, and their company.

That encompasses my Couchsurfing experience to date.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books - I stopped reading them. Damn you Internets!

Music - Wide and Varying, mostly consumed through Youtube. Damn you Internets!!! I think people now use Spotify or something similar. Only one request: don't put me in a club with Hiphop PLEASE.

And movies, I barely watch any television and rarely go to the movies. 95% of the time when I have to sit idle watching something I fall asleep (my friends can verify this fact). I would say that its easier to list movies I do not like. I do manage to watch clips of stuff on....Youtube. Damn you Internets!!!!!!

This category should just be changed to my favorite stuff on the Internets....

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Obliterated a car with the Jaws of Life ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hydraulic_rescue_tools ). Dude, talk about kewl stuff all men want to do, but most never get the chance. However, it is very hard work. Yes, I really did destroy a car!! And it was all very legal since it was a government sanctioned activity.

Teach, Learn, Share

I cannot remember names. So I bring a small notebook and pen to events for writing people's names down with a brief description of them based on what I have learned about them. At the Couchsurfing Stammtisch this is what I do, but people find it funny and odd, as if I am analyzing them like a psychiatrist. But I swear, its just to remember who you are! And I do like you and I am not analyzing you when I do this.

Do not recommend using an ampersand in your Couchsurfing profile. The updated website cannot render it and you get the string "&" displayed instead. One of many many bugs on the Couchsurfing website. If you would like to learn more, please contact me and I will gladly share them with you.
