I'm Daan, raised in the Netherlands and ready to see the world. After travelling through different countries, I went back to my hometown and met the girl of my dreams. Luckily she is a huge fan of travelling and so we started our worldtrip together. After that we settled down in our shared hometown.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Since we were traveling low-budget, really wanting to meet locals and looking forward to exchange experiences, couchsurfing sounded like the ideal solution for accommodation.

Right now we love to host guests and be able to help out fellow travelers.

Interests

In the Netherlands I really loved to meet different people and to learn from different cultures. One of the many reasons I'm making this trip. After a year of traveling, I went back to my hometown in The Netherlands because I was out of money. 2 months later I met Inge, an amazing girl, with whom I started a relationship only 3 weeks after our first date. At this moment we are traveling around the world and making documentaries along the way with our business The Bold Elephant.

In the spare time I love to work out, read a book, just chill, do any sports or drive my motorcycle (something I really miss at the moment..)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Difficult to choose one, but going on safari in the Masai Mara (Kenya) is definitely high on my list, together with bodyrafting in Indonesia.
