About Me
/DĀ•BƏRT/
^That's how you pronounce my name... Just wanted to get that out there. Haha!
I graduated last October 2014 from College and now I'm fortunate enough to be in a family that has its own business. Hence, I get to work from home!
But sometimes, it gets boring and monotonous that I always look forward to booking trips either locally or internationally.
I'm curious as to how other people from different walks of life, countries, etc. think and live. I'm always down to meeting new people and learning form them. Maybe I too can teach you a thing or two! ;)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Sometimes when I travel with friends, we always book hotel rooms or hostels for our accommodation. When I discovered this website and read about it online, I'm very intrigued on how this community of travellers operate.
Saving on accommodation is a major upside, of course. But getting to stay with a local or someone who's lived in a place for quite sometime will always give me a different experience than just booking a tour and planning an itinerary on my own.
I believe that Couchsurfing will give me an avenue to explore and discover people, places, food, and adventures I would've never discovered on my own.
Interests
I'm a musical person and I play the violin. I love running, began to love hiking, and I try my best to stay fit and maintain my body.
I love my dog... all dogs. Oh and I write. Hahaha!

Music, Movies, and Books
MUSIC: My interests are pretty flexible but the only band I will splurge on a concert and meet & greet ticket is YELLOWCARD. Haha. Not sure how many people are still familiar with this band. Kinda says a lot about me.
MOVIES: Love love looove Disney Movies, Rom Coms (typical *gags*), and some suspense movies (no to horror!).
BOOKS: I love Colleen Hoovers' Books and pretty much any non-fiction novel. What I'm reading right now: Dark Place by Gillian Flynn (again, says so much about me).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I think the things I consider that are really "Amazing" are the experiences where I conquered some of my fears even if they're just baby steps.
One of these is my fear of heights. Doing a 50ft free fall back in 2014 was a baby step towards a (hopefully) bigger thing in the years to come. :)
Teach, Learn, Share
Right now, I can't say I have "wanderlust" or I know many tricks in travelling. But what I can share with new friends I may meet here in Couchsurfing are my personal hacks to conquering Manila's Traffic! Kidding. But seriously, if you just want a new friend in case you find yourself in Manila, feel free to message me! Let's talk! :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I've been raised by my parents to never be a burden to anyone so you won't have a trouble with accommodating me (in case I need a place to stay hihihi).
What I can share with hosts are my stories, laughter, and foood! I love sharing my food. :)
On a more serious note, I think that most people here in Couchsurfing share their lives to either hosts or guests. In the short amount of time we meet strangers, we share part of our lives to futures friends and best friends. So I too will share my life and my experiences. :)
