About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Movement and Activity!

ABOUT ME

I have been around the world, held many job titles, and experienced many professions. Currently I am a software developer, which scratches my daily need for puzzles to solve and my desire for continuous learning. Beyond that I enjoy a whole spectrum of activities from rock climbing, Latin dancing, cultural exchange, cooking, frisbee, martial arts (BJJ and Judo), conversation, strategy games, etc. etc. etc. I'd rather talk about our interests in person than you read about them all in a profile box.

What you need to know is that I am a pretty laid back guy. I know how hard it can be to travel and couch surfing has saved me from sleeping in the rain more than once in my life. Whether you stay with me or not, if you're in my area hit me up for suggestions or just to hang out. Anything I can do to make your stay near me more enjoyable I will do what I can.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I traveled many countries in Europe using couch surfing and was met by nothing but wonderful people. I intend to give that feeling back to the couch surfing community.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have been a part of the idea for years surfing with friends, but since I joined CouchSurfing I have surfed Aachen, Germany; Madrid, Spain; and Valencia, Spain, and I can guarantee there are more to come. I've also had the pleasure of hosting and traveling with CouchSurfing in Japan.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Good music - especially Jazz and Swing, big band or blues; I've also been on a big 70's and 80's kick recently thanks to the Guardians of the Galaxy soundtracks; I really enjoy Latin music to listen to as well, not just for dancing.
Movies: Good movies, Waking Life, Dark City, Donnie Darko, Abre Los Ojos, The Science of Sleep, Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind, Inception; Movies that make you think.
Books: I like books that teach you something.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've inspired people to learn.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach me anything, I love to learn.

As for things I know that I can teach, I love languages, and I can help out with English and Japanese. I'd be happy to give anyone the basics if we go out dancing, too.

I would love to learn how to draw better, it is something I want to be good at, but I am really quite terrible.

I can help you learn how to dance, and want to learn more about dancing from anyone willing to teach me.

Countries I’ve Visited

Brazil, Canada, Germany, Japan, Mexico, Morocco, Netherlands, Poland, Spain

Countries I’ve Lived In

Japan, Spain, United States
