About Me

Honestly I still don't know who I am. In my childhood I though I could be like Comic Heroes to do some vigilante stuff, but then I grew up and got even more lost. Since then I have been searching for myself, what I really want to do and what is that keeps me in motion. I succeeded in some of these. The things that I know for sure about myself right now is that I am passionate about writing, I love when I create something even if it is meant only for myself or meant to be deleted right away.
Besides, I am very passionate about books. I love listening to my Soul/Funk on the Vinyl Player, reading some of my favourite authors. Recently I got really interested in oriental culture and literature. I can say that I have been absorbing all these pages of the books on one run and I can say it has been pretty awesome uncharted territory.
I am a huge Marvel fan. Iron Man is my favourite character, but I have Doctor Manhattan's tattoo on my left hand. Friends told me it doesn't add up, but I think it is alright.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have been on Couchsurfing before. Then I kind of took a hiatus and deactivated my profile and then couldn't restore the old one, so here I am. With my new account.

For many many years I have been thinking what I was doing on CS, what I wanted to get from there or what I wanted to contribute. Was it only the pursue of free bed in a foreign country? Or was there something else behind it. To be completely honest, for a long time I though the former was the case. However, after growing up I realised that traveling is all about exploring myself and it is not about quantity but about the quality. Doesn't matter how many countries you have visited it is the people and the stories you create together that makes each trip unforgettable and I am all for it.

This is what I am on CS for. I want to explore, I want to meet locals. I want to talk with you, and have fun with you and create some of the best moments with you, because 50 years ago this wouldn't be possible. I want, that when I will be old enough to die, to have all these stories as a kind of a flashback and say that I had a wonderful life and I guess CS community is one for creating such stories.

Music, Movies, and Books

I think it is a bit tricky question. My taste constantly changes on the rolling basis. Let's say if I am going to attend the live concert of Red Hot Chilli Peppers, I listen to them for 3-4 months in a row before the concert. Same applies to every other group. But in a broader sense I love Rock when I am about to start new project at work and I need boost (Rammstein or RHCP or MUSE or SOAD etc.); I love funk when I am chilling at home with my friends and I listen to Hip/Hop when I am commuting in the public transport or walking in the street to keep me awake and put me in the zone.
As I have said, for the moment I am very into Oriental Literature. Sadegh Hedayat, Mahmud Dowlatabadi, Khaled Khalifa etc. have become my favourite authors for the recent time and I can't get enough of it.

What is more about movies. I am very dumb in them. I just watch trash Netflix movies just to have a background noise. I always preferred to read rather than watch, because reading was not limiting my imagination to a certain character and I can always visualise the scene or the character or the circumstances way I want not the way director decided to be.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I don't know if it is amazing, I would say it is rather dumb, but I have swum naked in the Baltic Sea (in Helsinki) in December... Twice. Looking back I wouldn't even dare to do it once again, but it is still quite nice memory for me that keeps coming back every time I look at the pictures of my time in Helsinki.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share with you guys good vibes and energy. I can teach you some words in Georgian, write your name in Georgian Alphabet (which some of my foreign friends call "Spaghetti Language" and I think it is quite well-fitted). I can also teach you how to cook basic Georgian Food, which we are immensely proud of and every time we go to a different country to live, study or work, that is the first thing we miss.

I can share with you my Spotify playlist, which I have been carefully collecting and adding for quite some time already and I can say I have some good quality music (well, it is subjective, but let's talk about this). Or maybe a reading list of my favourite books. I also love SCI FI, so get your HAL9000 ready, Houston doesn't have a problem anymore.
