About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to see every place that isn't like home.

ABOUT ME

I'm 20 years old and extremely curious to see the diversity of cultures/cities/landscapes/customs around the world. I'm slowly attempting to satisfy this curiousity.

I get an immense amount of joy from seeing something that's different back home. Even little things; like foreign McDonald's menu items, potato chip flavours, or public transport systems; it's all spectacularly intriguing and exciting to me.

In grew up in a small town (population ~4500), but now live in Perth, studying Commerce (majoring in marketing, management) and Communications (majoring in anthropology/sociology) at university. I'm a very friendly and polite person, though occasionally awkward. Apparently it's endearing.

PHILOSOPHY

to live life efficiently and to maximise joy

Music, Movies, and Books

MOVIES:
I'm really, really bad at narrowing these down (as I have so so many favourite films), but I'll try to limit it to a few:
- Oldboy
- The Diving Bell & the Butterfly
- Training Day
- Der Untergang
- Hotel Rwanda
- Momento
- Schindler's List
- Se7en
- Trainspotting
- No Country For Old Men
- The Dark Knight
- Girl, Interrupted
- American History X
- Babel
- Shawshank Redemption
- Blood Diamond
- Inception
- Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels
- *anything by Tarantino*
and a lot, lot more. I love films.

I also watch a lot of TV shows that I really cannot be bothered to list.

MUSIC:
Again, it's impossible to list a few. I listen to most genres of music, but predominately indie, hardcore, punk/alternative Rock, experimental, witchhouse/drag, electronic, and recently I've been listening to a LOT of hip hop (having never really listened to it before).

So yeah, if you listen to any of those genres, chances are we'll have something to talk about.

BOOKS:
I really wish I read more. I have a pile of about 20-30 books that I've bought but never gotten around to reading, sadly.

I mostly have an interest in non-fiction stuff, like Freakonomics, Buyology etc, and stuff about marketing/consumer psychology.

Favourite fiction novels are probably Animal Farm and Choke (Chuck Palahniuk).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The Great Wall of China probably had the biggest 'Wow Factor'. Yangshuo was also stunningly beautiful.

Countries I’ve Visited

Cambodia, China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand

Countries I’ve Lived In

Australia
