About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To seek out new worlds, people, adventures, and you know - all that jazz.

ABOUT ME

Strength in depth; redundancy; over-design.

I am a capitalist, I rather like the theory of Realpolitik, I'm a devout atheist, a firm believer that women are inherently perfect, and I'm not entirely convinced other people exist. This all stems from seeing the world as a single, enormous satire.

Because I rather enjoy headaches, sleepless nights, and the feeling that comes with realizing you're in way over your head I decided to study physics. I'm passionate about the field and I love everything about the science but I have the distinct feeling it's going to kill me.

In all likelihood it's my future wife that will kill me, but that's as may be.

I suppose we'll see, won't we?

PHILOSOPHY

I try not to have a personal philosophy, I'm not a philosopher and I try not to form opinions about things I'm not familiar of. I suppose that's technically a personal philosophy but that's just how things turn out sometimes.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'd like to host people, primarily, just to get to meet new folks from around the world, maybe pick up some good advice for when I start traveling myself, and hopefully a few useful phrases.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've never couch-surfed myself, not yet. I have a couple of friends who have though and hearing their stories I thought it would be fun to put myself up as a host for the time being and hopefully when I get the time to travel I'll be able to surf around a bit as well.

Interests

I think this was covered primarily in the personal description section ...

Music, Movies, and Books

Mel Brooks, Wes Anderson, things of that nature. I like to think of myself as pretty eclectic but it's really just that I have a hard time being judgemental.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Life thus far has been relatively drab, hence the overwhelming desire to travel.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm alright at cooking good, healthy meals on a tight budget, so I'd love to cook for any visitors. Learning a thing or two about cooking from someone else would be pretty great too.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
