About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To escape from what I have always known and dive into the unfamiliar. For the opportunity to meet new people, see new places, experience new experiences all the while exploring cities and locations I have been foreign to for far too long.

ABOUT ME

I've been a musician, writing music for roughly 8 years now. I'm a newly realized humanitarian who look is looking forward to meeting new interesting humans. I seek new ideas and I'm willing to give hours of my time to listen to new perspectives on anything from music, literature, film, philosophy, politics, beliefs, sports, to anything else that comes up in conversation. My goal is to communicate with as many genuine individuals as possible.

PHILOSOPHY

I aim to make a positive impact on any person I encounter through my actions. Whether it's through simply opening a door for someone or telling a joke to stranger, or whatever act of kindness seems necessary for the occasion I'm more than happy to make someone else's days easier.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

In the next Month and a half: from mid June to mid-late July I will be traveling the Northeast of the United States to explore part of the country that I've become way too unfamiliar with. I want to have a firmer understanding of the Northeast to escape the stereotype-fueled misinformed misconceptions I've heard from ignorant Southerners. In my travels I hope to share my primary means of artistic communication: music. As well as make a positive impression on folks through my secondary method of communication: humor.

After my initial Northeaster expedition, I anticipate allowing my couch to be surfed upon. You get what you give, and I just wouldn't feel right if I utilized other folks' couches and wouldn't return the favor.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I was fortunate enough to couch surf in Los Angeles California with one of my best friends. It was a life-perspective changing visit and I hope to recreate that in my future travels.

Interests

Interesting things.
Anything that is a form of human expression and or communication in any craft or method. It amazes me what new seemingly mundane things can be presented in a remarkably interesting way.
But for the sake of lists and simplicity:
Art (all forms), Music (most forms), Film (most forms), Fashion, Philosophy, Sports (Football, Futbol, Basketball, for the most part, again open to this one)

Frankly any form of genuine personal expression. It reminds me that this world is filled with great people wanting to exchange.

Music, Movies, and Books

We'll leave that to when we talk in person. I can talk for days about either.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been in three bands. Released two albums between the three and in my first Gym Class Dropouts "Chicken Soup for the Swollen Forehead" LP was re-released by Unattractive Records in Japan, where it sold 600 copies. There is also a cardboard cut out of me and the band... somewhere in Japan. I've also played in front of as many as 600 people and have opened for 2 minimally successful acts: Eve 6 and Smash mouth.
My most recent release: Da Di Da's "The Crowbar Separation" EP is a seven song narrative of a gentleman struggling to survive a zombie apocalypse which is symbolic of my recent artistic struggle as a musician.

Teach, Learn, Share

After my artistic aspirations dwindle and I become an older fella who strives to simply settle down with a good woman, I'd love to become a high school teacher, either English or History. In the mean time, I'm simply a student of my surroundings who will hopefully teach people I encounter while I learn from them.

I'd be more than willing to share my knowledge of music, film, trivia, and nutrition. I've also played guitar for roughly 8 years now and I'm more than willing to give a lesson to anyone willing to learn.
